Midwest College of Cosmetology Students Take on the Best in the Nation

Normal, IL - March 26, 2008Midwest College of Cosmetology student Victoria Moore of Pontiac took part in the OMC HairWorld Championships of Beauty on March 1-3 at McCormick Place in Chicago. Hosting around 70,000 salon professionals from around the world, the event is one of the biggest of its kind. Victoria had the opportunity to showcase her talents at this annual event with the best of the best.

“If you are a hairstylist, this is your Olympics,” says Jennifer Feaman, Education Supervisor. “This is a spectacular opportunity for Midwest College of Cosmetology students to compete with industry professionals from across the world.”

Marty Rizzo, owner of Innovations Salon in Naperville, world champion stylist, volunteered his time to talk to the students at MCC and give them direction and insight into competitions. The students trained for over 4 months, sacrificing to keep up with the travel, costumes, and hair pieces needed for competition.

All students at MCC are given the opportunity to enter competitions.
