Class Times
Monday – Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. and
Saturday from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Start Dates - View orientation and start up dates.  New classes begin August, January, and March.

Class Schedule – Part-time cosmetology students complete the program in five semesters.

Semester I (Cosmetology 108, 109, 110) - You will focus on the following in your first semester:

  • Professional rules and regulations
  • Personal and professional ethics
  • Shampooing
  • Wet designing
  • Hair shaping
  • Braiding
  • Scalp treatments
  • Trichology
  • Thermal designing
  • Nail diseases and disorders
  • Manicuring
  • Pedicures
  • Artificial nails
  • Client services
  • Retailing

Semester II (Cosmetology 119, 120, 121) - You will focus on the following in your second semester while using state of the art machines:

  • Retexturizing and restructuring demonstrations
  • Makeovers
  • Analyzing color and design
  • Hair coloring and decolorizing
  • Dermatology
  • Facials
  • Massage
  • Anatomy

Semester III (Cosmetology 122, 123, 124) - You will focus on the following in your third semester:

  • Study of artificial hair
  • Electricity
  • Salon business management
  • Job marketing skills
  • Salon 101
  • Advanced classes in cutting, coloring, and texture

Semester IV (Cosmetology 125, 126, 127) - You will focus on the following in your fourth semester:

  • Perfect hands-on skills
  • Gain experience working in the clinic

Semester V (Cosmetology 128, 129, 130) - You will focus on the following in your fifth semester:

  • Perfect hands-on skills
  • Gain experience working in the clinic
